What is your first instinct when your child gets an ear infection?  Head to the doctor for some antibiotics, most likely.  Or how about when you have a sinus infection or the common root canal?  Almost automatically, perhaps even without questioning, we take antibiotics.  In so doing, we have encouraged the bacterial world to mutate and form antibiotic-resistant strains.  Plus, unless we consciously avoid it, we are taking antibiotics in meats and poultry we consume.
